Let's get Wordless!

It has been a hectic week for me with the audit season in full swing at the company where I work and with Teddy(bear) not feeling well and with the preparation for the upcoming 40 days of mother's death nipping at the back of my mind...

Scratch that.

I  know. I know.

Those are not THE reason why I am slovenly in my blogging duties.

It's just that --

I'm sad.

I get angry more frequently than usual.

And stressed almost to the point of snapping.

AND I CAN'T BLOG ABOUT IT!

Not right away, that is.

I can talk about happy things, amusing things, matter of fact things ...

But NOT my dark moods.

I admire those people here who can rant, rant, rant at the height of their feelings and can still put their thoughts into cohesive sentences.

I'm a bad blogger, I guess.

Thursday Thunks is baaaaaaaaack!

Berleen is wondering if anyone will notice. Did you?

1. Charlie Sheen is an idiot and will probably end up with his own stupid reality show that will get 40 million viewers the first day and then people will fall asleep and quit watching. What person, celebrity or not, would you watch every eppy of a reality show if they were the center of it all?  I'm not much into reality shows but once in a while, I watch American Idol 10. You are watching, aren't you?

2. We all pay bills and wish we didn't have to. We all work and wish we could just lay around all day doing nothing. We all have those grown up responsibilities that we wish we could give to an African Elephant. Besides all the things the African Elephant got from you for the day, what is something from your high school years that you miss most of all? I can get away with being foolish and a pain in the _ss.

3. Sometimes we want to grow wings and fly. Whats the farthest you've fallen? Desperation.

4. There is square bread, wheat bread, circle shaped bread, bread with nuts in it, funny named bread. When you open a bread bag, do you twist it when you are done or put the metal tie thingie back on? (And did you know that if you look at that metal tie thingie, it has a day of the week printed on it?)Twist.

5. Some spoiled little brat (hey.. my opinion) called 911 on her teacher because he shook his own desk to get the students attention in the class. (I know, right?) Think back... what clever ways did a teacher of yours use to get the attention of the class or a particular student? She used a megaphone.

6. Artwork, pictures, notes, appointments. How many magnets are on your refrigerator? I have a buddha magnet beside my sponge bob one. A note that says, "Do not use the bathroom, muriatic on the rim".

7. Cats are fluffy, dogs are soft, snakes are leathery, fish are wet. What is an animal that you have held or petted that you don't think many people have had the chance? Cocks. And please don't go green on me. I mean, roosters. If you get here in the Philippines, cockfighting (or "sabong") is legal.

8. I'm coming to your house to paint your kitchen. I'm bringing the paint. What color should I not have with me? Purple?

9. Snow falls down, sometimes sideways. It still ends up on the ground. If snowflakes came in all different colors, which color snowflake would fall the fastest? Purple?

10. We caved... well at least I did. Are you glad Thursday Thunks is back? Yay, of course! It's a great thing to have some craziness in our week, even if it falls on a Thursday!

Gray Skies

It's almost summer, but it seems the rain have no urge to go away soon. This is one of those gray days where it's too humid and hot, the threatening rain not quite ready to fall. I see those contrasting banana leaves against this moody sky and it's too beautiful not to post!

Saturday 9: Medicate
1. Do you take a lot of medication? Sometimes I self-medicate for my allergies.  

2. Name one of your flaws and tell us about it. A huge temper when provoked. And lazy.  (I'm supposed to help my sis  do laundry but here I am, answering Saturday 9 questions (LOL).
3. Have you ever won first place? If yes, tell us about your victory! Most of the time, I bag the 1st place in academic  contests during  until high school. At first, it's a good feeling as everyone's so proud of me but there were moments that I don't want the attention and the high expectation anymore.

4. Who is the last person to make you smile? What was happening? My Teddy(bear).  
5. Describe a time when you should have tried harder.  Sometimes I wonder if I should have done more for my mother.

6. What are you best at? Starting something and not finishing? (I suppose this should be my answer to question#2)

7. If someone was going to make a movie or TV show about your life, who would play you and why? Lindsay Lohan. Do I need to explain? ;)

8. Name 3 things that you think are strange.

2 weeks ago, I asked for short respite from blogging because my Mama has finally laid to rest. It's a first time for me to have death so close to the family and even though I thought I prepared myself to this imminent pain (she suffered cirrhosis of the liver caused by diabetes), I realized one can never be ready enough for a mother's death.
