Mind Colors

Endeavor, Lino Tagliapietra, Columbus Museum of Art

colorful leeches got bloated
some of them are even sugar-coated
with vibrant reds and happy yellows
funny purples and green that glows
blacks stripes running
and pinks gone a-blushing
rushing, floating this and that
inside my mind while writing tit for tat!

The Final Kiss

This week, the image for inspiring you has been found from HEREDon't forget to link back to this image page there...The artist is Jim(~jfkpaint) on deviantArt

"It is time.” Someone addressed him from where he sat huddled in a chair in the far corner of the room. Jobless, just recently widowed, he was clutching a bundle to his chest as if his very sustenance depends upon it.

The baby whimpered as if feeling the imminent parting of a loved one. "Hush, be good now." and with one final kiss, he gave him towards the outstretched hands of the beaming new parents.

"Please take care of him," he said, almost a whisper, a plea.

"Of course, we will. We've waited so long for someone like him."

"Goodbye and thank you." they both said.

"Goodbye now, my baby." he said as the car that now bore his very joy pulled away from the social welfare office.

Coming home...

a once silent  hill
suddenly waking  to life
warriors coming home

Haiku is simple! It is 3 non-rhyming lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively (a great way to use your fingers!)

Next week’s theme: Living

Wind in my Heart

my slumbering heart

a lovely song

waking me at last

bringing me pain

a lonely song

a brick wall heart

brick wall heart

I opened my heart
hoping that you will see
but instead you flee
are you afraid to find
yourself inside?
so I pile my bricks
higher around me
but no, you never meant to start
to break it apart

oh, the pain of waiting
as I slowly harden.

Chocolate Chip Cookie

Nothing beats chocolate chip cookies, especially after a very stressful day at the office, to make me feel better. Of course, I try to limit it to one or two, max of three :) Chocolate Chip Cookies has a habit of staying on my mid-parts!
